Disclaimer: I was sent a Wow Diary in exchange for a review on my blog. All views are my own.
There’s nothing more exciting than meeting likeminded females who are goal driven and satisfied by sharing the knowledge and skills that come naturally to them with the rest of us! That is what I have come to know and understand when I had a simple email conversation with Alison from MOM Diaries.
Alison approached me to review the MOM or WOW Diary on my blog. And if you know a little bit about me, you would know I am passionate about, planners, goals and vision boards. Prior to chatting with Alison, I had heard about the Mom Diary but never had a chance to hold one in my hand.
About the Mom Diary
The Mom Diary was designed for moms by a mom. MOM is short for Most Organised Mother, which if we’re all completely honest with ourselves, is what we all strive to be!
What is the difference between the Mom Diary and the Wow Diary?
The Wow Diary is similar to the Mom Diary, but it is for women of all sizes and shapes, regardless of whether they are moms or not. WOW stands for Wonderfully Organised Woman!
I chose the WOW diary, because it had elements of the Mom Diary, but allowed me to encompass myself as more than a mom. The other reason I went with the WOW Diary was because I couldn’t see myself carrying a diary with me full time. So, the idea is to use the diary at work and continue using the bullet journal for all other elements of my life. I did the same thing with the Whimsical Planner I reviewed in last year.
Wow Diary Look & Feel
I chose the Pomegranate cover, however, the diaries come in 4 beautiful colours including Bubblegum, Espresso and Razzleberry. The cover is both sturdy and elegant, minimalistic and clean.
The diary starts with a section for all your personal information, followed by a year at a glance page.
Handy information includes bank and credit card information, vehicle registration and medical aid information. It even has a section for your insurance policies and investments.
Every month starts with a to-do list and a goals section for the month.
The month at a glance section is always one of my favourites! I recreate it in my bullet journal and always play with the layout! I personally think the month at a glance could have stretched over two pages, but I guess that is a personal preference for me.
Every daily page has a section for goals and things you are grateful for. I really like the fact that every day has a different motivation to achieve your goals.
2018 Diary Review
I really appreciate the fact that you are encouraged in the diary to personalise your diary.
Recipes that Inspire
My colleagues are tired of hearing me ask for dinner inspiration. As I mentioned in my previous post, I really dislike spending time in the kitchen. The prospect of having 12 new recipes to try in next year, is pretty spectacular. The recipes in the diary include quick and easy recipes, along with some fanciers options.
Where can I find a Wow Diary?
I was really impressed when I found out what the Wow Diary costs! It is one of the most affordable diaries available on the market! Available at selected stockists, including Waltons, as well as directly from the MomDairy website. This A5 size diary will cost you R159.00!
Be sure to click on the live Demo link, that gives you more pages to preview.
Alternative Planners and Diaries?
Alison has some brilliant student and scholar planners. I would have loved to have a planner of the sort in high school. The other impressive planner is the Entrepreneur Sorted Planner. Let me know what you think of these?
What is Next for Alison and the Team?
The Most Organised team is currently working on a modular planner. The planners will give you the freedom to focus on what is important to you, for the season you’re in at the moment. So if your focus is weight loss, you will have modules guiding you through the process. Once you’ve smashed your goals, you can reuse the binder, but buy a new insert for your next goal.
Sounds like a winning recipe for success and it is extremely exciting to see a local product that caters to our needs! Let’s be honest, there are products available on the market, but after shipping, customs and the sorry state of the Rand, the international products really isn’t worth our while.
Have you bought your 2018 diary? If you had a choice between a Mom Diary and a Wow Diary – which would you choose?
