Speed Doesn't Matter, Forward is Forward
Hi, I'm Alet and I am a part-time student. I have been a part-time student since 2008, most of that time I was a single
I have been a part-time student since 2008 after a colleague and friend challenged me in the stuck-in-a-rut career we shared. See, I used to be a travel agent and as fun, as it is to understand all the airline jargon, there are only so many bookings you can make before it all becomes mundane.
I studied part-time through the University of South Africa or UNISA for short, which is an open distance learning institution. Which to me, totally mean you need a crap load of self-discipline to make it work, which based on my failed attempts at losing weight, I didn't have.
Thankfully I persevered and managed to complete my degree (in industrial psychology) in roughly nine years! At the end of the day - who cares how long it took, I did it! Which meant I got to wear the extremely sexy graduation gown...
In 2016 I registered and completed my Honours degree in a year - which is pretty much full time and seriously stupid, but I survived it!
For now, that is it, but I am sure I will find something else to study very soon. In the meanwhile, feel free to browse the archives and pop me a comment, if you have questions. I may not know the answer, but I will be happy to help where I can.
