Oliver turned three on the 22nd of September. Three years ago my life changed when I became a mom to a second boy, a mom of three. Three years ago we had a miracle child and in the past couple of months I have been reminded how blessed we were, we are. Yes our baby was very sick for a couple of weeks. But our boy is a healthy, well adjusted little boy!
The day before his birthday, we took the boys to the Waterkloof Airshow. *He loves a “piegtuig” and we were lucky enough to see some “perdjies” as well.
Oliver loved the #parabot statue and made us watch the video at least 6 times.
The meaning of the name Oliver, is “olive tree”. Extending an olive branch traditionally signifies an offer of peace. Peace and joy and abundance is really my biggest hope and prayer for Oliver. Oliver and his twists…
Here is some of three year old Oliver’s favourites:
Favourite TV Characters: Mickey Mouse Club House
Friends at school: Hardus, Tori, Tanya, Lian, Noag…. Mainly Hardus. Only ever Hardus!
School Teacher: Juffrou Jessica
In the Car: Sings and or dances to the songs he knows. And drinks all my water.
Favourite things to do at home:
Playing with breaking his toys / strangling one of the dogs / moaning
Favourite sounds to make: Oli has learned to click his tongue. Every time he things about a reply to a question asked, he first clicks his tongue, think and then replies

Words I love when he says them: Karretjies becomes tarretjies (with a roll of the “r”)
Clothing: Spiderman t-shirt, Dino t-shirt and lighting Mcqueen shirt.
Routine in the evening: Bedtime story is a must, followed by whispering sweet-ticklish-nothings in Oliver’s ears and most evening singing a song or two…
